From Antarctica to Trentino, from the Andes to Vietnam: 2025 was another year of growth, innovation and successfully overcome challenges for HTI, with projects completed around the world and results that confirm the Group’s strength and international vision.

HTI closed 2025 with a new record turnover of €1.622 billion, representing a 15.8% increase compared to the previous year. The Group also recorded growth in investments in research and development, reaching €42.5 million, while €3.3 million were allocated to employee training and development.
The HTI-President, Anton Seeber once again highlighted the importance of the Group’s flexibility: “Last year in particular, we were able to demonstrate impressively how flexible and adaptable we are as a Group.”

In 2025, HTI inaugurated numerous installations. The winter season was marked by its involvement in the Milan-Cortina Olympic Games and the 2029 Norwegian Alpine Ski World Championships in Narvik, Norway.
For Prinoth, the year also included the extreme Antarctic mission and the launch of the Panther XL.
In collaboration with Melinda, Leitner created the “Funivia delle Mele”.
Leitner Poma of America completed 16 new ropeway installations across North America.
Additional projects were finalized across four continents, spanning the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia.
Through the Mewa Khola hydropower project in Nepal, Troyer commissioned the largest Francis turbine in the company’s history, achieving a major milestone.
Lastlz, the integration of HKD Snowmakers, a company with operations in the United States and Canada, further strengthened HTI’s presence in the North American market.

HTI Outlook and Objectives for 2026

Numerous projects will be launched or completed in the coming months. Among the most significant is undoubtedly “Cervino The One”, one of the most important infrastructure projects in the Alps, connecting Cervinia with Plateau Rosa.
In Varanasi, India, the country’s first urban ropeway is about to take shape, set to transform mobility in the metropolitan area. Other international ropeway projects are underway in Mexico, India and Vietnam, where Poma will complete a record-breaking tricable gondola system.
Prinoth will showcase the Panther T23r in Las Vegas, the largest and most advanced crawler carrier with a rotating tower in the industry. A new electric snow groomer will also soon be introduced, combining top-level performance with sustainability in a completely new way.

Looking ahead, LEITWIND will continue to focus on developing innovative solutions and achieving new milestones in the wind energy sector, reaffirming HTI’s ongoing commitment to promoting renewable energy.

New certification for connection to the German power grid – another step toward the energy transition

We are pleased to announce a significant milestone: LEITWIND’s LTW80 1000kW and LTW90 1000kW wind turbines have received Unit Certification in accordance with the German guidelines FGW TG8 and VDE-AR-N 4110.
This certification enables direct connection to the German medium-voltage grid, contributing to the safe and efficient integration of renewable energy into the national infrastructure.

This success results from a strong and proven collaboration between LEITWIND and UL Solutions, a global leader in certification and grid code compliance. Together, we have completed important projects in recent years:

• Wind Husum 2022: certification of LTW42 250kW and LTW42 500kW turbines for German grid codes
  
• Key Energy 2025: strategic certifications for projects in Poland and Italy

During Interalpin, the Leading International Trade Fair for Alpine Technologies, in the ‘HTI Innovation Corner’ situated in the Leitner/Prinoth/Demaclenko Booth, the Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Austrian Cable Car Industry Christian Felder and the Sales Managers of Leitwind, Iwan Planatscher, and Troyer ,Hanspeter Schölzhorn, have shown an interesting presentations on the potential of renewable energies in ski resorts.

The HTI Group, to which Leitwind and Troyer belong, establishes itself as the only company in the world able to offer both in-depth know-how of winter technology and green applications designed in full respect of the delicate mountain ecosystem. 

Regarding wind energy LEITWIND believes that it can become a driving force for energy independence and climate protection in Alpine tourism, and represent not only a strategic advantage at the Group level, but also the key to conveying a more sustainable image to all customers and end users. HTI closed 2024 with a revenue of 1.402 billion euros, recording a slight decline of 5% compared to the previous year. The South Tyrolean group saw significant growth in investments, with 41 million allocated to research and development and 63 million for durable goods. Staff training expenses reached 3 million, allowing the group to maintain high-quality standards. The number of employees exceeded 4,800, a record for the company.

President Anton Seeber emphasized the importance of flexibility and adaptation to global economic changes. HTI inaugurated new production and logistics sites in North America and Italy, and presented numerous ski lifts worldwide, including nine in Italy. Technological innovations such as Demaclenko’s Evo 4.0 snow generator and Bartholet’s Ropetaxi in Flims, Switzerland, further strengthened the group’s position.
 

On the energy front, Leitwind inaugurated its first Sicilian wind farm in Trapani, while Troyer celebrated 90 years of history. In 2025, HTI will continue to grow with new projects in cable transport, both tourist and urban, in Mexico, El Salvador, Santo Domingo, Ajaccio, and Trieste. Significant investments will also be made in Italian and Spanish locations. 

In 2025, HTI will continue its growth path. 

Indeed, numerous projects will be born or completed in the coming months. A good part will concern cable transport, both in the winter tourist context and urban, a sector that is continuously expanding. From Mexico with the start of work on two new additional plants in the metropolitan area of the capital, to El Salvador, passing through the inauguration of another facility in Santo Domingo, the opening of the urban cable car in Ajaccio in Corsica, and probably the opening of the construction sites of the first urban cable car in Italy in Trieste. Always in terms of mountain cable cars, 2025 will see significant investments in Italian locations (from South Tyrol to the Aosta Valley, passing through Trentino and Belluno) but will also mark the return after a few seasons of Leitner in Spain, which will build two plants in Benasque and Astun in the Aragonese Pyrenees. 

Among the Italian novelties, there will be the commissioning of the so-called “apple cable car” for the management and transport of the typical product of the Val di Non in Trentino, and, again in Trentino, two inclined elevators, one in Mesiano will connect the center of Trento with the engineering department of the university and the one in Predazzo, which will rise near the new ski jumps in view of the 2026 Olympics.

The Polish market represents a great opportunity for LEITWIND, which has been present in the country for many years. The installed capacity is expected to increase from 28.72 GW in 2025 to 56.54 GW by 2030, thanks to favorable investment policies in the sector. Poland’s National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) for 2021-2030 and the Energy Policy of Poland until 2040 (EPP2040) are fundamental to this development plan.

Despite regulatory and authorization uncertainties, the small and medium-sized wind sector represents a strategic opportunity to enhance the already installed energy potential. Additionally, there are numerous authorized projects in Poland that reflect the size and power limits of our LTW90 with a nominal power of 2.0 MW.
During the KEY – The Energy Transition Expo, held in Rimini from March 5 to 7, 2025, LEITWIND proudly received the electrical certification for the LTW90 2.0 MW turbine from UL Solutions, certifying its compliance with Polish grid code standards. This milestone marks a fundamental step for LEITWIND’s expansion in Poland, paving the way for the installation of its turbines in the country.

Thanks to this certification, LEITWIND is ready to play a key role in Poland’s energy transition, providing sustainable and tailored solutions for wind farms, repowering projects, and energy-saving strategies for energy-intensive sectors.
