Team building in the name of sustainability: the LEITWIND forest is born

The forest area had recently been heavily infested by the bark beetle and parts of the forest had to be felled or used as a result.  With this campaign, LEITWIND is making an important contribution to the reforestation of the forest. By planting trees, LEITWIND aims to strengthen team spirit and support the environment at the same time.  

Three different tree species were planted in order to maximise the diversity and stability of the future forest. Mountain elm, bird cherry and English oak were selected for this purpose. Species diversity strengthens the forest ecosystem and makes it less susceptible to the consequences of climate change, as different tree species react differently to stress factors such as drought or pests. The ‘Klimafitter Bergwald Tirol’ programme aims to increase the stability and resilience of forests as a whole.  

Every tree planted symbolises the company's commitment to the environment and nature as well as their preservation and promotion. The active participation of the employees themselves shows that positive change for a more sustainable future and working environment is possible through collective action.
