Due to globally expanding demand as well as an expansion in the areas of personnel, commercial space and logistics, POMA decided to build a new production building. The beginning of building works on the new 70,000 m2 POMA production hall was celebrated in April 2016 in Gilly-sur-Isère in the French Savoy. With construction works finished, production began at the site in March of 2017. In addition to housing the ropeway manufacturer POMA, the new location will also house SACMI, COMAG and POMA-LEITWIND, as well as a global logistics center for the 90 other POMA locations.
LEITWIND also has additional production location at its headquarters in Vipiteno, Italy, in Telfs in Austria and in Chennai in India. The latter is managed as a joint venture with the company Shirim EPC. Thanks in part to these diverse international locations, LEITWIND is able to react quickly and efficiently in the wind power market.
