LEITWIND installs first wind turbine in Belgium
LEITWIND is proud to announce the commissioning of the first wind turbine in Belgium, at Herstal in the Walloon region.
It is an LTW80 with a rated power of 1000 kW and a tower height of 65 meters. This turbine, which was commissioned by the company “Safran Aero Booters”, is not the only “green” investment by the company, which uses in addition to wind energy a photovoltaic system for its energy requirements.
The benefits of combining these two resources include higher profitability, greater grid stability, and finally more evenly distributed power generation throughout the year.
This first installation in Belgium attests to LEITWIND's continued expansion internationally: LEITWIND is currently present in no less than 19 countries. Thanks to its specialization in megawatt-class (250-3000 kW) installations and its “project-centric” orientation, LEITWIND is confirmed as an ideal partner for the realization of individual installations and/or small wind farms and for self-consumption projects of communities and small/medium enterprises.
With LEITWIND wind turbines, sustainable electricity is generated, contributing positively to environmental protection, pursuing the decarbonization and energy independence goals of various countries.
